Microsoft Joins CESMII to Accelerate Democratization of Smart Manufacturing
Microsoft brings their thought leadership, standards advocacy and enabling technologies to our members and our SM Innovation Centers™ and will engage with other industry leaders to participate in our Standing Committees, adding their insights to our Technology, Business Practices, and Education and Workforce Development efforts as we drive this ecosystem forward.
Goals are to elevate interoperability, community, and innovation as imperatives for the Smart Manufacturing Ecosystem.
The German Plattform Industrie 4.0 and CESMII cooperate to shape the Future of Manufacturing
Plattform Industrie 4.0 and CESMII are announcing their partnership to address similar challenges and needs related to Industrie 4.0 / Smart Manufacturing. For both manufacturing economies to compete, they need international collaboration to achieve major tasks like semantic interoperability, create data sharing platforms, develop workforce skills, and foster sustainable production. We have also released a sustainability whitepaper.
DOE Announces SMIC RFP and Selected Innovation Projects
DOE Announces that CESMII will Add between 3 and 10 NEW Smart Manufacturing Innovation Centers. An RFP is available and CESMII is seeking proposals. In addition, CESMII will Manage 14 NEW Smart Manufacturing Innovation Projects.
Innovation projects are examples of the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Platform, and Profiles, and supporting applications, to demonstrate the features and benefits associated with Smart Manufacturing.
