CESMII is about transformation made possible by collaboration. At our very essence is bringing together individuals, organizations and technologies to create one greater good. With membership, comes additional opportunities for collaboration an access our network of valuable resources.
GE Digital Joins CESMII
The ecosystem engagement and collaboration with industry leaders, like GE Digital, is the engine at CESMII that accelerates the democratization of Smart Manufacturing. The ecosystem works on Smart Manufacturing technology, innovation, education, and demonstrations in collaboration with CESMII’s regional SM Innovation Centers.
DOE Announces SMICs for Negotiations
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in partnership with the Clean Energy Smart Manufacturing Institute (CESMII), announced selections for four new Smart Manufacturing Innovation Centers (SMICs) bringing the total to eight SMICs. Through specialized training and direct industry engagement, the centers will help U.S. manufacturers implement smart manufacturing technologies to optimize their use of energy and materials.
Press Release – RPI – Toward Zero and CESMII
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) is a CESMII Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center (SMIC), contributing to and benefitting from CESMII Smart Manufacturing research and developments. RPI is a significant facility in the area of machine tool operation and management, represented within our RPI MILL: Manufacturing Innovation Learning Laboratory in Troy, New York. We are excited to announce that contextualized machine tool data is seamlessly ported into the CESMII SM Innovation Platform from a HAAS CNC machine (RPI ST-10Y). This critical milestone of contextualization through an Information Model, Type Definition and Semantic Graph, developed at the machine level and published to the cloud-based CESMII Smart Manufacturing Innovation Platform (SMIP) is made possible by a prototype Smart Manufacturing edge appliance (Apogean™), supporting CESMII’s GraphQL API, by Toward Zero Co.
