Problem Statement
The Manufacturer of the IP team, Inova Diagnostics has identified the bottleneck of their ELISA kit manufacturing as the ELIA kit pouching machine to produce a product with the right quality and volumes. Inova wants to instrument this machine and the process around it to quantify the contribution of this step to their overall process.
Project Goal
- The objective of this project is to provide Inova diagnostics with the profile of success and data to improve ELISA process and production efficiencies/effectiveness
- The second objective from a CESMII perspective is to provide a Generic Pouching/Packing Machine profile and the a process profile for this step for the SM Marketplace™
Technical Approach
- Deploy SmartEYE™ edge IIoT platform and instrument the ELISA kit pouching machine and process (SmartEYETM provides the OT-IT bridging)
- Build machine and process profiles for a Generic packing/pouching machine
- Connect to the SMIP using OPC/UA
