At CESMII (The Smart Manufacturing Institute), we have recently published our Automotive Smart Manufacturing Roadmap, developed in partnership with USCAR. This roadmap outlines pivotal strategies for fostering a more productive and sustainable automotive manufacturing environment through enhanced interoperability, data-driven orchestration, and workforce development.

As we prepare to share insights from this roadmap at the upcoming Smart Manufacturing for Automotive Summit 2024, we are excited to have the summit’s expert speakers provide real-world perspectives on its implementation.

The #SmartManuAuto Team recently spoke with automotive 4.0 experts from leading OEMs and tier 1 organizations who had reviewed the roadmap to understand how their organizations are actively integrating industry 4.0 technologies, overcoming challenges related to data sharing and interoperability, fostering a smart manufacturing mindset, achieving production agility, and leveraging advanced analytics and connectivity for intelligent manufacturing.

We’re pleased to share that following the publication of our Automotive Smart Manufacturing Roadmap, developed in partnership with USCAR, Smart Manufacturing experts from ZF Group, General Motors and Volvo Group have shared their reflections and industry insights in a recent eBook.

Ahead of their participation at the Smart Manufacturing for Automotive Summit (10 September 2024, Detroit, MI, USA), the industry experts shared their reflections on the roadmap’s strategies for fostering a more productive and sustainable automotive manufacturing environment through enhanced interoperability, data-driven orchestration, and workforce development.
